You will learn about power tool usage, jobsite safety, employability skills and more! This program provides National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) nationally recognized credentials and the opportunity for students to earn their OSHA-10 card. The Core Class offers an introduction to basic construction skills which prepare students to find a first job in construction.   About WNC Construction Career Day What is the WNC Career Construction Day all about? In the above video, one of the leadership hosts Marc Czarnecki; provides insights to this event that will attract ~1100 high school students during the 2-days of the event on March 28th and 29th. WNC CCD along with many sponsors, will host the WNC Construction Career Day Works Event on March 28 & 29 2023; at the Smoky Mountain Event Center (Haywood County Fairgrounds) in Waynesville.  March 27th is a setup day for businesses and other exhibitors.   This is an opportunity for WNC students to learn more about the construction industry, the many careers that are in demand, talk with company representatives and participate in hands-on activities. Students will arrive in the morning.  An Industry representative will meet the bus and guide the group to their assigned area.
